Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- Palestinian officials on Saturday condemned U.S. Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich for his remarks against Palestinians.

Gingrich said that the Palestinians were "invented" people and do not have the right to get a statehood.

The comments of Gingrich were "cheap and gall," said Salam Fayyad, Palestinian prime minister. "The most hardliners in Israel have not even issued such speech."
