Pyongyang, December 15 (KCNA) -- Palestinian officials on Monday condemned the installation of an Israeli checkpoint and the approval of new settlement activities in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. Israeli authorities installed a permanent military checkpoint outside Shufat refugee camp, cutting it from East Jerusalem, which Palestinians demand as a future capital, witnesses said.

Adnan Al-Hussini, head of Jerusalem's affairs in the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), told in a press interview that the checkpoint puts 50,000 Palestinians out of Jerusalem borders.

"This is a dedication of the occupation's policies that aim to drive out Palestinians from Jerusalem," he added.
