Moscow, December 15 (KCNA) -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently declared that Russia will ensure its national security by its own efforts.

NATO's plan is arousing concern as it is aimed to deploy in its member nations elements of the missile defense system so that almost territories of Russia may lie in its range, he said, adding that Russia needs legally-binding arrangements.

The right of Russia to ensure the security of its territories by its own efforts should be respected, he stressed.
