Tehran, December 15 (KCNA) -- Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Iran Ramin Mehmanparast in a press conference on Tuesday rejected the U.S. request for return of its downed drone.

The chief executive of the U.S. has asked Iran to return the downed drone aircraft.

According to Mehmanparast, Obama forgot that the drone violated the Iranian airspace to spy the country, an action of violating the international laws and regulations and encroaching upon the sovereignty of Iran.

"Obama should formally apologize to Iran for violating the airspace of the country," the spokesman said.
