Slogans Written on Trees Laud Kim Jong Suk

Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- Many trees bearing slogans lauding Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, were discovered throughout the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

During the anti-Japanese armed struggle, the guerillas and revolutionaries in the homeland wrote slogans on trees in thick forests, in praise of feats Kim Jong Suk performed in devotedly defending President Kim Il Sung, who was leading the anti-Japanese war to victory.

Slogan-bearing trees were found in the Mt. Paektu secret camp, Yonsa, Musan and other areas.

They include "Anti-Japanese woman general advanced into the homeland in 1942 in response to Kim Il Sung's line of national liberation," "We are led by Kim Jong Suk, a woman hero of Mt. Paektu" and "Anti-Japanese woman hero from Mt. Paektu devotes herself to decisive battles for national liberation".

Some of the slogans highly praise Kim Jong Suk for ensuring the continuity of the Korean revolution.

With the approach of the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, December 24, the Korean people recollect her revolutionary feats, hardening their determination to carry forward the revolutionary cause of Juche.
