Mongolia's Significant Anniversaries Marked

Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- Mongolian Ambassador to the DPRK Sodovjamts Khurelbaatar hosted a reception on Friday on the occasions of the 90th anniversary of the victorious People's Revolution of Mongolia, the 100th anniversary of national liberation and the 2220th anniversary of formation of the first state.

Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Ui Chun, minister of Foreign Affairs, and others and diplomatic envoys of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations here.

Staff members of the Mongolian embassy were present there.

The Mongolian ambassador spoke at the reception.

Mongolia and the DPRK have long-standing friendly relations, he said, stressing the need to boost the traditional friendly relations as required by the new circumstance.

He expressed the conviction that the bilateral relations can make substantial contributions to ensuring peace and stability in Northeast Asia.

He wished that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger in various fields in the future, too.

Pak Ui Chun said in his speech that the Korean people are pleased with many achievements made by the government and people of Mongolia in their efforts to improve the standard of people's living.

The friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung and the leaders of the elder generations of Mongolia have continued to favorably develop in various fields, he added.

He said the DPRK would make positive efforts to boost the bilateral relations in all sectors.
