S. Korean Warmongers' Psychological Warfare under Fire

Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- The south Korean military set up two light towers in the central and eastern fronts and turned their light on as part of their intensified "psychological warfare against the north." The towers are the first means for the "warfare" that had been set up since the 2004 north-south agreement on removing all propaganda means from the areas along the Military Demarcation Line (MDL). Papers Saturday in bylined commentaries brand the "psychological warfare" as an open declaration of confrontation and a serious politically-motivated provocation against the DPRK as well as a very dangerous act prompted by their criminal intention to kick up fresh armed conflict between the north and the south. Rodong Sinmun says that any provocation against the other party may lead to an armed conflict and a total war amid tensions running high between the north and the south. It goes on: Whenever they kicked up "psychological warfare against the north" the south Korea warlike forces created a war atmosphere in the areas along the MDL while calling for tougher military posture under the pretext of coping with possible "provocation" from the DPRK. The puppet forces are making fuss about setting up defense wall and the like around the two towers. This indicates that the south Korean bellicose forces' anti-DPRK psychological warfare is a sinister plot designed to hurt the single-minded unity of the DPRK and ignite a war of aggression against it and, at the same time, to advertise their "security crisis." This warfare will only bring unpredictable catastrophic consequences, making the south Korean conservative authorities stop short of serving out a full term. Minju Joson terms the erection of the towers by the south Korean authorities part of their anti-DPRK psychological warfare aimed at deliberately getting on the nerves of the DPRK, saying lurking behind this is a black-hearted scheme to tide over the ruling crisis. |
