Pyongyang, December 18 (KCNA) -- The 13th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties took place in Greece from Dec. 9 to 11 with the agenda of "Socialism Represents Future".

Attending it were delegations and delegates of nearly 80 political parties from more than 60 countries including the delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The meeting adopted the following joint appeal:

The communist and workers' parties and the progressive mankind of the world, together with the friendly Korean people, will meaningfully greet in April 2012 the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea and eternal president of the DPRK who made immortal contributions to the world history of politics in the 20th century and the human cause of independence.

Penetrating deep into the requirements of the new era when the popular masses emerged as the masters of their own destinies, he fathered the immortal Juche idea and, on this basis, comprehensively systemized and evolved the original theories on national and class liberation and socialist construction, thus performing undying ideo-theoretical feats in the development of the socialist cause and the human cause of independence.

The socialist cause of Korea pioneered by him is making long strides under the distinguished Songun revolutionary guidance of leader Kim Jong Il.

To significantly commemorate the Day of the Sun in 2012, the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung, the peerlessly great man, on a global scale is the unanimous desire of the world progressive people boundlessly revering and ardently yearning for him who dedicated all his life to the socialist cause, the human cause of independence.

With the friendly Korean people, political parties and organizations of many countries are now conducting the brisk preparations on a worldwide scale to splendidly commemorate this meaningful Day of the Sun, and this atmosphere is running higher.

Expressing full support and solidarity with the WPK and the Korean people in the efforts to build a thriving socialist nation, we ardently call on the political parties and organizations of all countries to commemorate as a grand political festival common to humankind the 100th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung who made immortal contribution to the human cause of independence.
