Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the C.C., Workers' Party of Bangladesh, issued a statement on Dec. 15 to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 94th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

The Songun cause of Juche associated with the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Suk has emerged ever-victorious with Kim Jong Il's assumption of KPA supreme commandership, the chairman said.

The KPA has been further strengthened into the invincible anti-imperialist revolutionary armed forces and the reliable defender of the destiny of the nation and the socialist cause, he added.

The heroic struggle of the army and people of the DPRK standing in the van of the showdown with the U.S. gives great encouragement and hope to the world progressives, he said, expressing firm solidarity with the Songun cause of the DPRK.
