Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- Koreans in foreign countries expressed profound condolences over the demise of leader Kim Jong Il, shocked by the sad news which came like a bolt from the blue. Representatives of the Federation of Koreans in the United States and other organizations of Koreans there on Tuesday called at the DPRK permanent mission at the United Nations to mourn his demise. They left a wreath at the portrait of Kim Jong Il and paid silent tribute to him in humblest reverence. They expressed their bitter grief, saying Kim Jong Il passed away so suddenly to their regret though he energetically worked day and night for the prosperity of the socialist country, the happiness of its people, national reunification and global independence. Koreans residing in Khabarovsk City of Russia visited the DPRK mission in the city to mourn his demise on Wednesday. They laid bouquets before his portrait and paid silent tribute to him. |
