Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, on Monday received a message of condolences from Mahmoud Abbas, chief of the Palestinian National Authority who is president of the State of Palestine and chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

The message said that leader Kim Jong Il devoted all his life to the dignity and prosperity of the country and the people and most powerfully supported the cause of global justice and truth, the cause of the Palestinian people, in particular.

He made every possible effort for the development of the friendly relations between the DPRK and Palestine, the foundation of which was laid by President Kim Il Sung together with Yasser Arafat, it added.

Expressing his deepest condolences to the friendly government and the people of the DPRK, Abbas in the message wished progress and prosperity always to the Korean people led by Kim Jong Un.
