Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- An annual meeting of the Peruvian preparatory committee to commemorate the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung took place in Lima on Dec. 17.

A report was made by Felix Fernandez Torres, secretary general of the committee, at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers noted that the exploits performed by the President, father of socialist Korea, for the Korean and world revolution and the human cause of independence will last forever.

They reviewed the work this year, underscoring the need to conduct the committee's work by putting main emphasis on organizing colorful events for the purpose of stirring up the atmosphere of commemorating the centenary of the President's birth till April 15, 2012.
