Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, received a message of condolences from Thein Sein, president of Myanmar, Thursday.

The president in the message said it was great sadness that he has learnt the passing away of Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the WPK and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

He extended deepest condolences to Kim Jong Un and to the government and people of the DPRK on behalf of the government and people of Myanmar.
