Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- C. P. Mainali, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), Thursday visited the DPRK embassy in Katmandu to express condolences on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The general secretary laid a floral basket before the portrait of Kim Jong Il and observed a moment's silence.

He said:

It was with great shock that I heard the sad news of the sudden demise of Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and great leader of the world socialist movement.

I am sure that the revolutionary cause of Juche will be carried forward to completion in the DPRK and peace be ensured on the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the world thanks to Kim Jong Un who is reliably upholding the cause of Kim Jong Il.

Kim Jong Il will be immortal in the hearts of the world progressive humankind.

The general secretary stressed that he will make positive contribution to boosting the friendly relations between the two parties and the two countries.
