Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Leadership members of Cambodia's FUNCINPEC Party including its leader Keoputh Rasmey visited the DPRK embassy in Phnom Penh Tuesday to mourn the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

They laid a wreath before the portrait of Kim Jong Il before paying silent tribute to him.

Keoputh Rasmey expressed condolences over the demise of Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people and close friend of the Cambodian people.

Kim Jong Il made signal contributions to the development of the friendly relations between the two countries, he noted, saying:

Though he passed away, he will always live in the hearts of the Korean and Cambodian peoples.

The leader and the executive chairman of the FUNCINPEC Party wrote in the mourner's book:

All the members of the FUNCINPEC Party express deep condolences over the demise of respected H.E. Marshal Kim Jong Il, outstanding leader of the Korean people. The great and historic heroism of His Excellency, tenderhearted father of the Korean people, will be everlasting.
