Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Events were held in different countries from Dec. 15 to 18 to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 94th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk. They included a meeting in Britain, a seminar, a photo exhibition and a film show in Bangladesh and a lecture and a film show in Indonesia.

The chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy said that Kim Jong Il gave priority to military affairs before all fields after he started Songun revolutionary leadership, thus winning victories in the political and military confrontation with the U.S. imperialists and their followers.

He recalled that by holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the supreme commander the Korean People's Army, it grew to be a matchless army fully prepared politically and ideologically and in military technique.

The chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea said that Kim Jong Suk was a great revolutionary who performed great exploits for the liberation of Korea and the building a new country.

He said that Kim Jong Suk is always remembered by the Korean people and progressive humankind.
