Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, received messages of condolences from Safwan Koudsi, general secretary of the Syrian Arab Socialist Union Party, and Gassan Ahmad Osman, general secretary of the Arab Democratic Alliance Party and member of the Central Direction of the National Progressive Front, on Dec. 20.

Safwan Koudsi in the message said that the demise of leader Kim Jong Il is the great loss not only to the Korean people but also to the world people who are waging the struggle, following his example.

Expressing belief that Kim Jong Un would most creditably discharge the heavy responsibility he has assumed, the messages wished him success in his work.
