Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Mexican political and social figures paid condolatory visits to the DPRK embassy in Mexico Tuesday on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

They included Ricardo Cantu Garza, coordinator of the National Coordinating Committee of the Workers' Party of Mexico, and members of its leadership, Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the C.C., the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, and members of its leadership, Selso Humberto Delgado Ramirez, international secretary of the Institutional Revolutionary Party of Mexico, Carlos Jimenez Macias, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for Asia-Pacific, Hector Hernandez Silva, president of the Friendship Parliamentary Group, Ramon Jimenez Lopez, president of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism, and Arquimedez Perez Bello, its secretary general, Andres Gasca Sanchez, president of the Mexican Fellowship Institute to Honor the Memory of President Kim Il Sung and Alejandro Rosales Sanchez, chairman of the Mexican Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification.

They placed wreaths at a portrait of Kim Jong Il and expressed profound condolences.
