Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the Guinean People's Assembly made up of General Secretary Cisse Saloun and members of its leadership paid a condolatory visit to the DPRK embassy in Conakry on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il on December 22.

The general secretary said:

The demise of HE Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, is a very painful loss not only to the Korean people but to the Guinean people and whole humankind.

HE General Secretary Kim Jong Il was a staunch guardian and advocator of global independence and the greatest leader.

We hope the WPK and the Korean people will overcome sorrow and certainly accomplish the cause of building a thriving nation desired by H.E. Kim Jong Il, true to the leadership of Comrade General Kim Jong Un.

He made an entry in the mourners' book.
