Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- An increasing number of people are turning out to mourn the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Officials and working people of various circles and school youth and children in North Phyongan Province are visiting the large portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il, mosaics depicting him and mourning stations to express condolences in bitterest grief.

Lamentation is heard from people of Rakwon, Suphung, Kusong City, Ryongchon, Thaechon, Changsong and Pyokdong counties and other areas of North Phyongan Province as they are overcome with bitter sorrow over the loss of their father who demised on a running train while working heart and soul to bring earlier a rich and powerful country without having a moment's rest.

Looking up to the large portrait of Kim Jong Il, officials of party and power organs and working people's organizations and working people in the province are renewing their pledge to successfully fulfill his behests, holding in high esteem respected Kim Jong Un, wise leader of the party, state and army.

Mourners in North Hwanghae Province evinced their resolution to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem forever and remain true to the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

The workers of the Hwanghae Iron Complex, the Sariwon Essential Foodstuff Factory, the Sariwon Textile Mill, the Jongbangsan General Foodstuff Factory and the Sariwon Chicken Farm also rose above their bitter sorrow with courage.
