Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- An inaugural meeting for the Nigerian National Committee for Mourning the Demise of HE Kim Jong Il was held in Abuja on December 22.

The meeting elected Ibrahim Mantu, former deputy president of Senate of Nigeria and co-chairman of the International Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung and chairman of the Nigerian Preparatory Committee, as its chairman.

The Mourning Committee decided to organize various events to mourn the demise of Kim Jong Il, great master of world politics and benevolent teacher of the Korean people and progressive humankind.

Meanwhile, a memorial service was held in Abuja on the same day.
