Myanmar FM Visits DPRK Embassy

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- Myanmar Foreign Minister Wunna Maung Lwin, together with the director general, deputy director general and others of the Foreign Ministry, on Saturday paid a condolatory visit to the DPRK embassy in their country on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il. The foreign minister and his party laid a wreath before the portrait of Kim Jong Il and observed a moment's silence. He said that the leadership and government of Myanmar are expressing heartfelt condolences on the sudden demise of Kim Jong Il. President Thein Sein and the leadership of Myanmar, hardly repressing bitter grief at his demise, hope that the Korean people will overcome sorrow and display strength to realize his intention without fail under the distinguished guidance of HE the great supreme leader Kim Jong Un, the foreign minister said. He expressed the conviction that Kim Jong Un will lead the DPRK to victory. |
