Kim Il Sung's Career Remembered by 400 Countries

Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- This year progressive people of a total of more than 400 countries remembered the brilliant revolutionary career of President Kim Il Sung in humblest reverence and highly praised him. Ancon County of Lima Province, Peru, registered Kim Il Sung as its honorary citizen and presented citizenship and a key to the county to him. Political parties, organizations, regional bodies and figures of different strata of many countries made public statements, highly praising his immortal revolutionary exploits. Governments, political parties and organizations of various countries and regional bodies presented floral baskets to the DPRK embassies while personages of different social standings visited DPRK missions and left floral baskets and bouquets before his portraits and paid tribute to him on the New Year, the Day of the Sun, the 17th anniversary of his demise, the 63rd anniversary of the DPRK and the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. Seminars on the Juche idea were held on different themes. National seminars, joint seminars and East European regional discussion on his exploits took place in Nepal, Peru, Uganda and Russia. The participants in the Bangladeshi national seminar on the Juche idea initiated a world conference on the Juche idea in Pyongyang in April, 2012, the centenary of his birth, and appealed to its followers the world over to attend it. Preparatory committees were inaugurated in many countries to commemorate the centenary of his birth with splendor. Political parties, organizations, institutions of various countries and international and regional organizations held a total of 420 colorful political and cultural celebrations to significantly commemorate April 15, the Day of the Sun. Media of different countries gave wide publicity to the immortal exploits and greatness of Kim Il Sung, the greatest man in the 20th century. |
