Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association posted a condolatory article with a portrait of leader Kim Jong Il on its Internet homepage on Dec. 20 on his demise. The article said as follows: Comrade Kim Jong Il passed away from a sudden illness on Dec. 17, 2011 on his way to field guidance. He had long worked at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. He developed in depth the Juche idea by authoring a lot of works and indicated ways of reunifying the country. He provided the north-south summit meetings in Pyongyang in 2000 and 2007 which led to the adoption of the north-south declarations. The international prestige of the DPRK has risen remarkably thanks to his leadership. The Association expresses profound condolences upon the news that the Korean people suffered great loss. The same day, an organ of the Communist Party of Denmark published an article of the same contents carrying a portrait of Kim Jong Il. |
