Memorial Service for Kim Jong Il Held in Nigeria

Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- A memorial service for leader Kim Jong Il took place in Abuja, Nigeria on December 22.

Displayed at its venue were photos showing his immortal feats.

Aba Sadik Abubakr, chairman of the Nigerian Group for the Study of the Juche Philosophy, said in his speech that Kim Jong Il was the spiritual mainstay for the adherents to the Juche idea.

Ahmed Blaza Lawan, chairman of the Nigerian Group for the Study of the Songun Politics, said that not only the Korean people but also all other peoples in Northeast Asia enjoying peace should extend heartfelt thanks to Kim Jong Il, an iron-willed brilliant commander.

Igwanagu Nicholas, chairman of the Nigerian Group for the Study of Kimjongilism, said: The core of Kim Jong Il's traits is love for the people. As he loved the people very much, he enforced the benevolent politics unprecedented in the world and had been on the train of journey to mix with the people until the last moments of his life.

M. M. Alhassan, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, stressed that the undying feats performed by Kim Jong Il for global independence and the complete victory of the Juche idea would remain forever with his august name.

Prior to the memorial service, the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea declared the days from December 22 to 29 as a mourning period.
