Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, received a message of condolences from Daud Bin Abdullah Razha, minister of Defense and deputy commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Syria, on December 22.

He said in the message that though leader Kim Jong Il passed away, his ideas and feats would shine forever.

He, on his own and on behalf of the officers and men of the Syrian Arab army, expressed heartfelt condolences to Kim Jong Un.

He said that Kim Jong Un's assumption of heavy responsibility as the supreme leader of the Korean people provides a firm guarantee for the steady development, progress and prosperity of the Korean people and army.

He was convinced that Kim Jong Un will overcome sorrow and display strength and courage and build the friendly DPRK into a more powerful country.
