Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The All-People Council for National Reconciliation and Cooperation in south Korea on Dec. 20 sent a condolatory message to the National Reunification Council of the DPRK over the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

We express our deep condolences on the demise of Kim Jong Il, chairman of the National Defence Commission, and extend our sympathy to all the compatriots in grief in the north, the message said.

We will closely cooperate and solidarize with you on the road for reconciliation and cooperation between the south and the north and their common prosperity in the future, too, according to the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, it added.
