Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The United Progressive Party of south Korea Monday proposed to form an emergency group of mourners which will visit the DPRK to pay respects to leader Kim Jong Il.

We urgently propose to form a nongovernmental group of mourners with political parties and religious, civic and public organizations of south Korea which will visit the north over the demise of Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il, the Party said in its statement, adding:

We urge again the authorities to cooperate in dispatching the group of mourners.
