Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) sent a wreath to express deep condolences on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, on Monday laid the wreath before the bier of Kim Jong Il who has gone on display at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace.

Also placed before the bier were wreaths from Chairman So Man Sul and Chief Vice-Chairman Ho Jong Man of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee.
