Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Russian diplomatic envoys to Shenyang of China, Mongolia, Uganda, Libya and Peru called at or sent messages to DPRK missions in those countries between Dec. 20 and 22 to mourn the passing of leader Kim Jong Il.

The consul general of Russia to Shenyang paid a consolatory visit to the DPRK mission and paid a silent tribute in humble reverence to the memory of Kim Jong Il.

He wrote in the condolence book: Upon hearing the sad news that Comrade Kim Jong Il, the leader of the DPRK and close friend of Russia, passed away suddenly I, with bitterest sorrow, express my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Korean people.
