Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Hwang Hye Ro, co-representative of the Korea Solidarity for Independent Reunification and Democracy in south Korea, Tuesday paid respects to the bier of leader Kim Jong Il.

Seen by the side of the bier at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace was a wreath from Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Hwang Hye Ro paid a silent tribute in humblest reverence to the bier of Kim Jong Il before viewing it.

Hwang wrote in the condolence book that she prayed for the soul of Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il who devoted himself to national reconciliation, unity and reunification of the country.
