Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Singaporean Foreign Minister K. Shanmugam paid a condolatory visit to the DPRK embassy in Singapore on Dec. 23 on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

He observed a moment's silence before the portrait of Kim Jong Il.

Expressing, on behalf of the Singaporean government and people, profound condolences on the demise of Kim Jong Il, he hoped that the Korean people would overcome the present bitter sorrow at the loss and register signal successes in the efforts to build a thriving country.
