Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- A mourners group of the Vietnamese National Assembly led by Vice-Chairman Uong Chu Luu paid a condolatory visit to the DPRK embassy in Hanoi on December 24 on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The group left a large wreath before his portrait and paid silent tribute to him.

The head of the group made an entry in the mourners' book:

The demise of Kim Jong Il is an indescribable loss to the Korean people.

I, on behalf of the National Assembly and the people of Vietnam, express most heartfelt condolences to the Korean people.

I am sure that the Korean people would overcome sorrow and display strength and achieve greater victory in the cause of country's construction and progress.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese students who studied in the DPRK paid a condolatory visit to the embassy.
