Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- Kim Il Sung Square, the heart of Pyongyang, also turned into a veritable sea of wailing tens of thousands of people who gathered to pay last respects to leader Kim Jong Il.

Has anyone imagined this loss even in a dream? They have never imagined they would pay last respects to the leader at this square where they would break into rousing cheers towards Kim Jong Il, the great leader and kind-hearted father of the nation, full of immense excitement and joy and where they would watch the leader wave back to them, his face beaming with a broad smile. Could they think of the tribune of honor where he was not present?

The moment the motorcade of the hearse slowly entered the square, they broke into lamentation. They bitterly cried "General, Don't go, please" and "Don't leave us behind alone, please."

Ra Kyong Hui, 30, a woman residing in Central District, wept bitterly: "General, open your eyes, please. Look at us even once, please. We can't believe you are gone. Get up, please."

Ryu Hwa Sun, 57, a section chief of Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 who had the honor of receiving his field guidance in July, said with tears in her eyes:

"How can we bid last farewell to the leader as we feel we still hear the words said by him with joy, going round the goods exhibition hall in our department store. He is not gone. He can't pass. He is always with our people".

Many foreign friends present at the ceremony also mourned his demise, overcome with the great sorrow at the loss of the prominent great man of the world who made an immortal contribution to the human cause of independence.

At this hard time of paying last respects to the leader, people shouted:

The great Comrade Kim Jong Il will always be with us!

He will always live with the people whom he loved so much all his life thanks to their yearning for him growing stronger as the time goes by.

He will always live thanks to the thriving nation which would appear as a result of the indefatigable efforts made by him all his life and thanks to the immortal exploits he performed by bringing a bright future of the Korean revolution.

All the servicepersons and people took an oath from the bottom of their hearts, paying the last revolutionary respects to the leader.

Comrade Kim Jong Il, do believe us.

We will defend with our lives the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by the dear respected Kim Jong Un in any storm and stress.

We will accomplish the cause of building a thriving socialist nation, the behest of Kim Jong Il, like disciples of President Kim Il Sung, remaining loyal to the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
