Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- American regional Internet seminar on the theme of "Vitality of President Kim Il Sung's Idea in 21st Century" was held in Lima, Peru on Dec. 24 and 25.

The Internet seminar opened by an American regional preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of the birth of Kim Il Sung carried a portrait of smiling Kim Il Sung on its special page.

Participants in the seminar included personages of political parties and organizations in Peru, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Dominica, Ecuador and the American regional preparatory committee.

They observed a moment's silence in memory of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The secretary general of the preparatory committee, making an opening address, said the untimely passing of Kim Jong Il is the greatest sadness to the Korean people and the world progressives.

Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, expressed deep sympathy over the passing of Kim Jong Il in his keynote report.

Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, Andres Gasca Sanchez, president of the Mexican Fellowship Institute to Honor the Memory of President Kim Il Sung, and Felix Fernandes Torres, secretary general of the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, and other speakers took the floor.

They stressed that the Korean people would surely build a thriving nation under the leadership of HE Kim Jong Un identical to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
