Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed deep condolences on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Upon the authorization of the emir, the acting minister for the Emir's Office on Dec. 26 visited the DPRK embassy and observed a moment's silence in memory of Kim Jong Il.

He expressed deep condolences to the DPRK government and people on the demise of Kim Jong Il on behalf of the emir and his heir and the Kuwaiti government and people.
