Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on Dec. 22 received a message of condolences from Jaime Caicedo, general secretary of the C.C., Communist Party of Colombia.

The message said that the CPC expressed profound condolences over the demise of Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

It noted that at this time of sorrow the CPC extended solidarity to the heroic Korean people and the WPK in their struggle to protect the sovereignty from the imperialists' aggression and achieve regional and world peace and prosperity.
