Joint Committee for Mourning Demise Formed in Russia

Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- Three Russian political parties formed a joint committee for mourning the passing away of leader Kim Jong Il.

They included the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the Communist Workers' Party of Russia-Revolutionary Communist Party and the International Social Federation "For the Union and Union's Communist Party".

Mozgovoi, first secretary of the C.C., the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, was elected chairman of the joint committee.

The joint committee in its statement on Dec. 26 expressed deep condolences over the demise of Kim Jong Il.

It said that his august name is always associated with all the successes achieved by the Korean people in the glorious course of the struggle to apply the Juche idea, build a thriving socialist nation and create conditions favorable for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.

His name is directly connected with the great vitality of the Songun policy which set an example to be followed by all world peace-loving people and countries in the anti-imperialist struggle. It is always linked with the unquenchable torch of socialism for overpowering the imperialists seeking to dominate the world.

The joint committee expressed conviction that the Korean people would dynamically advance along the road chosen by themselves under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea led by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
