Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- The East European and Central Asian Regional Committee for Mourning Comrade Kim Jong Il released a statement on December 25.

The statement said leader Kim Jong Il devoted all his life to the cause of materializing the Juche idea, the Songun idea which considers independence and happiness of a human being, good faith, justice and self-reliance as an ideal.

The adherents to the Juche idea in East European and Central Asian regions will more positively conduct activities for studying and disseminating his works, the statement said, and continued:

It was one of the feats performed by Kim Jong Il that he clearly explained the reason why socialism collapsed in East European countries and indicated ways of beating back imperialism under new situation.

A vigorous struggle is now under way in various countries to frustrate the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the imperialists along the road of sovereignty and independence indicated by Kim Jong Il.

We will conduct brisk activities to widely propagate the ideological heritage of Kim Jong Il. We will organize diverse activities including lectures and seminars on his ideological and theoretical achievements as part of these activities.
