Party Given for Mourners from China

Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people, arranged a reception to comfort those who came here from China to mourn the demise of leader Kim Jong Il. Present at the reception, which took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Thursday, were the family of Zhang Weihua, a Chinese anti-Japanese revolutionary martyr, and families of Chinese and Koreans related to anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and a Korean anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter. They included families of Zhou Baozhong's daughter Zhou Wei, Feng Zhongyun, Shang Yue, Chen Lei and Hu Zhenyi, Chai Shiying's great-grandson Chai Long and Ri Jae Dok, and Ri Kwan Rin. Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, said at the reception that though Kim Jong Un was in grief at the loss of Kim Jong Il, he showed such warm benevolence as arranging the reception for them. Kim Jong Il, paramount incarnation of revolutionary moral obligation, showed warm loving care for the revolutionary comrades-in-arms with whom President Kim Il Sung had relationship during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and their bereaved families, always remembering them, the speaker noted. This relationship between the peerlessly great men and those persons overseas would be steadily maintained by Kim Jong Un, he stressed. Zhang Weihua's son Zhang Jinquan, Zhou Baozhong's daughter Zhou Wei and Feng Zhongyun's daughter Feng Yiluo said that Kim Jong Il's whole life is a noble life dedicated to the people and his great feats would be immortal. They pledged themselves to do their best to develop the traditional China-DPRK friendship with the Korean people true to the intention of Kim Jong Un by turning the present sorrow into strength and courage. |
