Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations of Bulgaria, Belarus and Austria issued statements on Dec. 27 over the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

In a joint statement the Communist Workers' Party of Belarus, the National Social Federation "For the Union and Union's Communist Party" of Belarus and the Permanent Committee of the Belarus-DPRK National Friend Association Named After Kim Il Sung said that Kim Jong Il defended the independence of the country with his unique correct Songun politics and performed distinguished feats for the world socialist movement.

The Federal Leadership of the Left Bloc of the Austrian Trade Union Federation in a statement said that Kim Jong Il had creditably carried forward the cause of Kim Il Sung, eternal President of the DPRK.

The Central Committee of the Bulgarian Worker's Party (Communist) in its statement said that Kim Jong Il conducted energetic activities to protect global peace and security and develop the friendly relations among peoples and made immortal contributions to the human cause of independence.
