Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- This year the Korean people have striven hard to greet the centenary birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung in 2012 with the building of a thriving socialist nation, true to the spirit of the conference of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The spirit is based on the Korean people's strong will to closely rally around the leader, build a prosperous and powerful nation, surmounting all difficulties and trials, and carry forward the cause of revolution under the leadership of the great WPK.

The single-minded unity between the leader and people was fully manifested during leader Kim Jong Il's historic visit to China and Russia.
