Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Saturday sent a message of greeting to Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, president of Sudan, on the 56th anniversary of its independence.

Kim in the message heartily wished the president and the government of Sudan successes in the efforts to ensure peace and stability of the country and achieve the economic development and the Sudanese people progress and prosperity.
