Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- The dear respected Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, received a message of greetings from Hu Jintao, chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China, on Dec. 31.

The message said as follows:

I extend warm congratulations to you upon your assumption of supreme commandership of the KPA.

The peoples and armies of China and the DPRK have deep traditional friendship.
