New Year Concert Held

Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- A New Year concert of the National Symphony Orchestra was held at the Moranbong Theatre on Sunday on the New Year Juche 101 (2012). Appreciating the concert were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim and other senior officials of the party, state and army, officials of the party and armed forces organs, working people's organizations, the Cabinet and ministries and working people in Pyongyang. Present there on invitation were overseas Koreans staying in the socialist homeland, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, diplomatic envoys of different countries, representatives of international organizations and members of the military attaches corps here. Put on the stage were symphony suite immortal classic song "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee", orchestra "Fascination", symphony serial songs "Song to the Party" and orchestra "Footstep". The performers eulogized the undying feats of leader Kim Jong Il who dedicated all his life only to the victory of the Juche revolutionary cause, the prosperity of the socialist country and the people's happiness and ushered in a great heyday of national prosperity on this land. The concert mesmerized the audience as it reflected the steadfast will of the army and people of the DPRK to follow forever the long march of the Songun revolution under the dear respected Kim Jong Un, the revolution which was started by President Kim Il Sung and emerged victorious under the leadership of Kim Jong Il. |
