Arpan carried several articles under the title "Kim Jong Il, great man" illustrated with a portrait of the leader.

Under the sub-title "Distinguished thinker and theoretician" the paper said that Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung, the father of socialist Korea, as an integral system of ideas and theories and methods of Juche.

The most shining feat in Kim Jong Il's ideological and theoretical activities was that he developed in depth the Songun idea, it noted.

Under the sub-titles "Elder of independent politics" and "Great master of leadership" the paper praised him for performing great feats for global independence through his energetic external activities and achieving the single-minded unity of the whole society.

Nepal Today on Dec. 29 last year carried a special write-up accompanied with the portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

In an article titled "Tears of Korean people" the paper said Kim Jong Il, the distinguished great man recognized by the international community, was the great leader of the Korean people and the benevolent father from whom they could not live separated even a moment.
