Cyclone Hits India

New Delhi, January 2 (KCNA) -- The cyclonic storm hit southeastern India on Dec. 30 last year, causing damage.

The death toll from the cyclone has mounted to 42 and around 20 000 people were left homeless.

Electricity power and telecommunication were cut off.

The Indian authorities launched relief operations.
