Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of Bulgaria and Kuwait gave special write-ups to the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 94th anniversary of birth of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero. The December issue of the Bulgarian newspaper Iskra last year carried in its one whole page articles under the headline of "The Progressive mankind express condolences on the demise of Kim Jong Il, leader of the DPRK" with his portrait. The paper in articles noted that Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il put the defence capability of the DPRK on the highest level. He clarified the original principle of Songun that the army represents the party, state and people and gave priority to strengthening the People's Army, the paper said, adding: The Juche idea, founded by President Kim Il Sung and developed in depth by Kim Jong Il, is the revolutionary idea clearly indicating the way for the popular masses, the makers of history, to carve out their own destinies by themselves. The worldwide concern and sympathy with this idea are daily increasing as its attraction and vitality have grown stronger century after century. In an article titled "Life dedicated to others" the paper said that Kim Jong Suk devoted all her life, not long, only to the country, the revolution and comrades. The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai on Dec. 26 last year said in an article titled "Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il who built up the invincible army" that he built up the KPA into an invincible army with his unique Songun politics and foiled the imperialists' nuclear threat and offensive of sanctions with the powerful war deterrent. |
