Hyon Sang Ju, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, made a report to be followed by speeches.

Referring to the great honor of holding the dear respected Kim Jong Un in high esteem as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, they expressed conviction that the Korean people will triumph in their efforts to build a rich and powerful county as long as there are the party, army and state developed by leader Kim Jong Il, the wise guidance of Kim Jong Un and fine people upholding the leader with loyalty generation after generation.

They called for working hard to glorify this significant year a year of great victory and prosperity to be specially recoded in the glorious history of Kim Il Sung's nation and Kim Jong Il's Korea, united behind Kim Jong Un in single mind.

They appealed to the factories and enterprises across the country to launch a socialist emulation drive to effect a surge in building a thriving nation true to the decision and militant calls of the party and a letter of workers of South Hamgyong Province on ushering in the heyday of a prosperity true to the last instructions of Kim Jong Il.

Attending the meeting were Ri Yong Su, department director of the WPK Central Committee, officials concerned and workers, officials and members of the GFTUK in Pyongyang and local areas.
