Commendations Awarded to Creator and Artiste of Merit in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 6 (KCNA) -- Order of Kim Il Sung was awarded to Cha Yong Do, who created narrative of the October Concert "We Will Travel One Road Forever", given by the Unhasu Orchestra, and many other art works encouraging the army and people in building of a thriving socialist nation.

Meanwhile the DPRK's title of People's Artiste was conferred on Ri Hyang Suk, head of a department of Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory who has well sung those optimistic and militant songs of rich emotion at stages of performances to be loved by the army and people and contributed to training artistic talents.

Decrees of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly on awarding the commendations were promulgated on Dec. 7 last year.
